 We finished our events for Trimester B on a high note with Job in a Jiffy. Job in a Jiffy was an event designed to equip students with the skills to secure their next job. Students were interviewed by several experienced job professionals in the comms industry. They also had the opportunity to take a strengths test and learn what their job-related strengths were, as well as learn how to create an effective CV. We really enjoyed getting to know the job professionals and several new MCSA members who came.
 We were lucky enough to have Rebecca Foote, who graduated from UoW several years ago, to have a Mixer with us on Zoom. Rebecca shared insights gained from her working experience at different organisations, including her current role at ATEED (Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development). Rebecca gave tips on media monitoring, stakeholder communication and communication tool kit for crisis management. She also highlighted the importance of networking and building relationships in the PR industry.
